Dr. Kirsten Beauchesne
Dr. Kirsten Beauchesne grew up in the Ottawa area. She studied biology at the University of Ottawa then completed her optometry degree at University of Montreal in 1999. In 2000 she moved west and worked at an optometry clinic in Vancouver. Although Vancouver was lovely, she missed Ottawa and returned to open an optometry clinic with her husband Audric (a licensed optician) on Holland Avenue in 2006.
Dr. Beauchesne has enjoyed her solo practice but with the demands of family life, has decided to join Westboro Optometric in the fall of 2011. She is now able to deliver her personalized care within a larger team setting. She is excited to introduce her current patients to the new practice.
Dr. Beauchesne has a special interest in refractive laser surgery. She has worked part-time at Focus Eye Centre since 2006 where she has managed thousands of post-operative laser vision patients. In her free time, Dr. Kirsten enjoys gardening and camping with her husband and children (Isabelle and Samuel).
