Dr. Annie DesGroseilliers
Dr. DesGroseilliers graduated from the University of Montreal School of Optometry in 2000 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ottawa in 1996. She has interned at the Colorado Omni Eye Center with an emphasis on diseases of the retina, glaucoma, and pre- and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery.
Dr. DesGroseilliers joined the practice in August 2000 and provides services in French and English.
Dr. DesGroseilliers has done many children screenings in elementary schools and has special interest in children's vision, glaucoma and refractive laser surgery co-management. She has worked with the Lasik MD clinic in Ottawa and is currently an affiliate for Focus Eye Centre. She serves as an assessor for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry. Dr. DesGroseilliers is a lecturer for the Ontario primary health care nurse practitioner program. She has also supervised Optometry interns from the University of Waterloo.
Leisure time activities include swimming, running, golf, alpine skiing, mountain biking, and road riding. She is very excited to have recently completed her second sprint triathlon. She is hoping to complete her first Olympic distance triathlon during the summer. Dr. "Annie" is married to Dr. Eric DesGroseilliers. They have a son (Jacob) and a daughter (Amelie). Some of her long time patients know her by her maiden name, Dr. Filion.
