Dr. Amanda Spielman
Dr. Spielman graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2005 after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree also at UW. While in university, she spent two summers as a researcher studying the development of refractive errors in
pre-school children.
She joined the practice in August 2005, and was the President of the Ottawa Society of Optometrists from 2007-2009.
In 2008, Dr. Spielman traveled to Belize, Central America to volunteer in an eye care project to fit underprivileged Belizeans with donated eye glasses and provide eye health examination & treatment.
Dr. Spielman has a special interest in pediatrics, contact lenses, and binocular vision (including using the HTS iNet computer program for vision training).
Outside the office, Dr. "Amanda" enjoys canoeing, ballroom dancing, traveling and being a mom.
